STRATHROY CARADOC CANCER GOLF TOURNAMENT DATE ANNOUNCED

The Strathroy Caradoc Cancer Golf Committee is pleased to announce that the 29th annual tournament will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2015.

The Committee will once again partner with the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation in support of the Breast Assessment Program at SMGH.  This program will enable all foreseeable breast care appointments and procedures to be booked locally in one day; Mammography, Ultra-Sound and Biopsy.  This model of care will facilitate early diagnosis and ensure patients receive treatment that is timely and complete.

The 2015 Strathroy Caradoc Cancer Golf Tournament will be held at Bear Creek Golf and Country Club, 571 Metcalfe Street East, Strathroy. The Tournament begins with the choice of two Shotgun Tee Off times - 7:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

“The Committee is excited for another great tournament filled with of golf, music, prizes, games and food,” says Committee Chair, Marlene Duister.  “We hope to fill both Tee times with golfers and make some serious money for this worthy cause.” 

Over its 28 year history, the annual event has raised a total of $606,934 to help fight cancer.  This year, the committee has set a tremendous fundraising goal of $30,000.  

“We are so grateful for the ongoing support of the Tournament Committee and are pleased to announce that they have pledged to donate the tournament proceeds to the Breast Assessment Program for the next 3 years!” said Susan McLean, CEO of the SMGH Foundation. “This pledge will result in a total contribution of over $100,000 towards breast care services at SMGH.”
